Navigating the Live Music Landscape in 2020 and 2021

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve written, but we hope you’ll forgive us for being tardy with news about the band! Allow us to fill you in on what’s happened recently and what lies ahead in 2022…

Navigating the live music landscape in 2020 and 2021 was anything but easy.

As we began to close in on our goal of reaching 2,000 career shows the worldwide pandemic struck! Jeff Heidig and his crew at Lake Anna Winery kept us going both years with TWO summertime shows, continuing a tradition we started with LAW back in 2009.

We also made some new friends in 2021 as we performed at the Dinwiddie County Airport for their “Wings and Wheels” event; played a super-FUN Halloween gig for the Manchester Moose; visited the Virginia War Memorial (following a one-year absence) for their yearly “Sips on the Skyline” gala; and brought some holiday cheer to the residents of Imperial Plaza with a Christmas Concert…

2022 promises to be a bit brighter with the pandemic drawing to a close, and we are eager to continue chasing “2,000”! We’ve already visited with the Manchester Moose this year for their annual “Wearing of the Green” Saint Patrick’s Day event, and performed for a dance social at Imperial Plaza, too. We’re scheduled for JUNE 11 and SEPT 3 at Lake Anna Winery, and have several private events between now and the Fall season. One we’re particularly looking forward to is the 50th Reunion Party for Dinwiddie High School’s Class of 1972!

We expect to see the local nightspots resume a full schedule of bands this year and hope to be in their rotations as we continue our promise to “keep great music a-LIVE”!

What a ride it’s been so far! Spectrum marks its 37th year on May 8th, and we hope to see YOU in 2022!

Musical regards,
Gary, Allen, Marilyn, Tom, Louie, Cliff, Gray, Keith, and James
Next show (private) is gig # 1,990!
